In addition to carbon finance, EFA can offer a range of alternative approaches to get the abatement project financed.
Equity from International Investors (Foreign Direct Investment) is increasingly available and EFA can facilitate the meeting of interested investors to project developers.
EFA, through its alliance with investment houses, can find investors for the project (or technology), and assist in maximising returns by realising carbon finance.

Local debt-finance for projects, particularly if contracted for forward income in an international currency through entering into a sale contract for the CERs.

Government early action offset schemes available for renewable energy installations.

Investors earn rights to a percentage of CERs in return for financing the equipment and/or a pre-determined rebate of profits is passed on to the owner of the underlying facility.
